Status: Permanent FULL-TIME
Salary: H004 - $54,694 - $68,000 annually(based on knowledge and competencies)

JOB SUMMARY:

As an integral member of UHN Digital, the role Application Support Analyst works with the Joint Department of Medical Imaging to support the RIS/PACS application software, and address the following in a desk-side and helpdesk environment: first level operational issues that arise with RIS (Radiology Information Systems) and PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications Systems); maintenance of the client and server hardware and software that host the RIS/PACS; implementation of RIS/PACS upgrades with the development team and project team; performing cross-functional duties as assigned or requested; performing other duties consistent with the job classification, as required. Successful candidates should have superb hardware and software diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and experience in a Medical Imaging environment will be an asset.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • At minimum, completion of a Diploma in a related IT field
  • Able to work onsite in Toronto (this is not a remote support position)
  • Superb computer hardware and software diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Technical knowledge of computer/server hardware components
  • Familiarity with TCP/IP and general networking concepts
  • Able to quickly and effectively troubleshoot issues with computer hardware, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, Windows Server 2012+
  • Able to work Monday to Friday during business hours during the day, onsite
  • Able to take part in an after-hours (evenings, weekends, holidays) on-call rotation with other team members
  • Must be a quick learner, and able to adapt to meet workflow demands

Preferred Experience (recommended):

  • Previous work experience in a Medical Imaging / Healthcare IT field
  • Experience in a break-fix computer hardware/software repair service environment
  • Familiarity with DICOM and HL7 standards, and any related certifications
  • Previous experience in both a HelpDesk call centre, and desk-side IT support an asset
