Job Description:

Wellington Dupont Public Affairs is looking for a talented Assistant Consultant to join our
Ottawa team. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to gain valuable career experience and join an exceptional team of highly experienced associates and public affairs professionals.

As an Assistant Consultant, you will be responsible for conducting research, helping to manage client files, media monitoring, facilitating the scheduling of meetings as well as developing communications materials such as reports, briefing notes, memorandums and press releases. In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow and advance your career in public affairs and government relations.

Position Title: Assistant Consultant (Entry Level)

Expected Start Date: October 1 - November 1, 2022

Work Schedule: Full-time (Monday - Friday)

Education: Undergraduate Degree in a related field (ie. political science, public policy, communications)

Language: English (required) or bilingual English/French (preferred)

Requirements:

  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrates ability to develop messages and communications materials
  • Ability to monitor and analyze ongoing developments of relevance to clients
  • Highly motivated
  • Applies initiative, creative thinking and problem-solving to situational challenges
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong computer skills (Use of Slack and Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, Google Meet etc.)
