Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of buying experience. Preference will be given to those with experience/exposure to the Automotive aftermarket industry
  • Display strong interpersonal skills in dealing with all stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities
  • Must be detail oriented and disciplined with strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Take ownership of assigned suppliers and deliver strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Is a self-motivated individual who can work well independently and as a part of a team to meet corporate objectives, willing to put in extra time to get the job done.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day purchasing activities including suggested orders, purchase orders, expediting and approving invoices
  • Assist the Supply Chain team with purchasing and data entry
  • Source a wide variety of parts from local and international vendors
  • Liaise between suppliers, manufacturers, relevant internal departments, and customers
  • Work with the Pricing team to maintain and update price files from suppliers
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Monitor shipment status and schedule deliveries with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and the warehouse team
  • Hold vendors accountable for on-time delivery of materials, communication of delays, and pricing
  • Provide analytics to help maintain inventory levels in consultation with branches, sales reps, and corporate objectives
  • Prepare reports as necessary
  • Other related duties as required
