Description:

• The individual hired will be analyzing all aspects of contract development with new suppliers for the team
• This individual will be joining the aero structures team. The team works with all types of business. (Parts, Material and fabricated metal parts.). The customers will mainly come from the US.
• Individual will be contract advisor within the team; a point of contact for the team in administrating contracts or any specific contract issues with existing customers.
• The team acts as the supplier, so for e.g., client ABC is saying here is a contract let us know if you can sign. Fabricated metal parts.
• The team is seeking someone who’s has experience within procurement, and who can apply that experience to a customer base as well. They will be dealing with new suppliers, so it is important that this person understands how to build relationships while still having the capacity to input clauses for cost savings. E.g. of contract facets: red markings, managing contracts, customer, and legal interactions.
• This role is not procurement. People in procurement negotiate the contracts, whereas this individual is analyzing them and being the subject matter expert for any questions.

Top Requirements:

• Experience within manufacturing relating to contract analysis (negotiation, conditions etc.)
• Experience with export control, quality requirements, government and geopolitical aspects that need to be understood for logistics purposes. Preferably with US based organizations as part of the contract will include the delivery terms to clients in the US.
• Bilingual strongly preferred; basic French needed but English first
• Experience in TEAMS, excel, PowerPoint all the basic office suite
• 5-10 years experience in contracts management or related
• Minimum bachelors; Master's preferred.

Assets:

• Aerospace experience
• Experience in a production style environment
• North American experience heavily preferred (US Based contracts). They will deal with US traffic and customs, US Can lawyers etc. with Kansas, NY or Montreal law.
• Customer management: The mindset. Understanding the contrast between the leverage you have and the leverage you do not. E.g. there are other suppliers with competitive advantages you will need to understand that, so that you know when you have room to maneuver and save on costs or build profits.
