How you will contribute as part of the TRCA team:
Reporting to the Supervisor, Accounting Services, this position supports Accounting Services team through ensuring compliance with corporate policy and procedures. Accurate and efficient processing and support ensures timely reporting for various financial deadlines. The Coordinator, Accounts Payable role works closely with the full Accounting Services team as well as members of the Finance team and TRCA business units.

Major Responsibilities:
  • Administration of Corporate PCard Program. Includes administration of program as well as ongoing review and reporting on cardholder transactions and monthly expenditure allocations processing.
  • Analysis and processing of expenditure allocations for corporate cellular accounts. Working closely with information technology team with updates and ongoing review of corporate cellular accounts.
  • Analysis, management and reporting on various balance sheet accounts, continuity schedules and other account analysis as required.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policy and accounting standards. Ensure appropriate use of revenue and expenditure accounts.
  • Create monthly fleet usage allocation documents and work closely with Sr Coordinator to ensure completeness for fleet charges and recoveries on a monthly basis.
  • Manage corporate utility accounts for all locations, track, record expenditures, process for payments to Utility companies and provide ongoing analysis and reporting utility usage reporting.
  • Provide ongoing support to accounting services and finance teams.
  • Various analysis for revenue and expenditure allocations as required.
  • Provide support for TRCA staff on accounting service processes.
What will you need to succeed:
  • 2-3 year Post Secondary Education in Business or Commerce, or equivalent applied experience.
  • 3-5 years experience.
  • Strong analytical skills and Microsoft software (Excel).
  • Understanding of HST and various tax treatments.
  • Knowledge of financial systems, payroll systems, management controls, processes and tools.
  • Attention to detail and quality control.
  • Experience with systems integrations an asset.
