Mechanical Engineering Student

Tolko is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Engineering team at our Athabasca Division in Slave Lake, AB for an exciting 4 or 8 month temporary assignment starting in May of 2023.

The Mechanical Engineering Student is responsible for providing assistance to multiple functional teams including the Engineering, Reliability, Planning, and Capital departments. Day to day duties will include:

  • Provide field support and document progress for capital and maintenance projects
  • Drawing modifications (CAD)
  • Facilitating the creation of an electronic document library
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis investigations with the intent to resolve operational and equipment reliability problems
  • Assist departments in various administrative functions
  • Additional support, as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Currently studying Mechanical Engineering preference will be given to students you have completed their second year of studies.
  • Project Management experience would be considered an asset
  • Interpersonal and communication skills with a team focused approach is required
  • Good mechanical aptitude
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Must be able to work independently
  • Prior experience is considered an asset
