We are currently hiring for a;

FABRICATOR

(Union position – IAMAW)

Preference will be given to candidates who can demonstrate the following:

Skills/Abilities:

· Follow working drawings – aluminum and steel, ability to read basic fabrication drawings and to make from measurments

· Custom & Production work on brake press

· Operate CNC Machinery, primarily the 12ft Accupress, forming sheets of varying material

· Perform regular maintenance on fabrication equipment and set up including punch press

Reporting to our Production Manager, you will:

· Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines

· Operate manual or semi-automatic flame-cutting equipment

· Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment

· Operate previously set-up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal

· Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment, tools, rivet guns

· Coordinate production of all stock parts & custom fabrication I.e. Toolboxes, Side Doors, Barn Doors, Make parts to fit, as filler panels, mouldings, etc.

Other requirements:

· Experience using power tools, saws, drills and screw guns.

· Understand units of measurement and be able to perform general mathematical operations.

· Physically able to complete tasks assigned while lifting up to 50 lbs., involving constant bending, twisting, and carrying in awkward positions, standing and doing repetitive movements for long periods of time

· Stainless steel and aluminum welding

· Working hours, Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
