Flying Post Camp and Logistics (FPCL) has become well known in the Sudbury and Timmins area. FPCL's primary focus is on construction for remote workforce housing and modular accommodations, along with site services in the remote work camp industry. FPCL is currently completing a construction project for the IAMGOLD Côté Gold Project.

We are currently seeking two (2) Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Coordinators to join our team.

Location: IAMGOLD Côté Gold Project. District of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada. Approximately 5 km north of HWY 144 Watershed rest stop and 20KM Southwest of Gogama.

Work Schedule: Rotation consisting of 14 days on and 14 days off (Schedule to change) – 10 Hour Shift daily

Job Type: Full-time, Fixed Term Contract- Approximately 9 months.

Responsibilities
·Coordinate HSE related systems and processes

·Audit subcontractors HSE compliance

·Review and help in creating JHA’s

·Investigate incidents and ensure corrective actions are implemented

·Promote behavioral based safety programs (i.e. job observation and, stop and correct programs)

·Complete audits to ensure compliance with supervision and field craft

·Prepare inspection schedules for all committee members

·Attend weekly meetings and report out to FPCL management & client with statistics, concerns and incidents

·Conduct workplace inspections and document accordingly

·Document corrective measures and follow up to maintain compliance

·Assist supervision in problem solving, ongoing complaints from workers, enforcement, and disciplinary measures (document verbal, written & removal of site).

·Attend project start-up meetings and coordinate site specific health & safety requirements

·Verify and copy employees training records, trade qualification documents, and maintain training log

Education/ Qualification

·Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or in a related discipline

·CRSP professional designation preferred.

·NCSO Certificate is an asset

·Minimum of 2-4 years of experience as an HSE Coordinator is preferred

·Excellent communication skills required

·Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat

·Good time management skills

·Valid G Driver’s License

·Knowledge of Provincial, OHSA Governing Health and Safety legislations

Other Requirements
·G Class Driver’s license with clean driving record (abstract required if hired).

·Must be conversant with OHSA regulations and comply with the site safety plan and rules.

Accommodations:
The project site is a dormitory style accommodations complex with a small gym and laundry facility. Meals are provided, lunches are bagged style and sit-down meal setting for breakfast and supper. Site room and board is supplied by the employer. Bus stop located in Timmins or Sudbury, the bus will transport employees to and from the mine site.
