We are currently recruiting for a Health & Safety Administrator at our head office in Red Deer, AB.

What will you do?

• Maintain the administration and documentation of Canalta's Safety program.
• Monitor accident/incident frequencies and safety violations, reporting consistently.
• Assist in all investigations and complete related documentation.
• Regularly monitor safety compliance, complete safety related training of workers & facilitate new worker safety orientations.
• Conduct site inspections and identify corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure completion of regular inspection reports, deficiencies are corrected and entered in WorkHub.
• Participate in safety meetings, toolbox meetings, and promote health and safety awareness.
• Complete all reporting to WCB and maintain communication regarding open files.

What do you need?

• Relevant Post-Secondary education in HSE is an asset
• 2+ years of safety experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Possess the demonstrated ability to motivate self and others
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision
• Have good working knowledge of Alberta Health & Safety Acts, Policies, Regulations, and Industry Standards as they apply to the manufacturing industry
• Ability to create, grow and maintain positive relationships with multiple groups
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Strong analytical and critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
