Our client, a global leader in the transportation manufacturing industry is looking for full-time long-term PLUMBERS/PLUMBER APPRENTICES for an opportunity to join the company DIRECTLY!!!

PLUMBERS JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Responsible for the installation, repair, and maintenance of pipes (PVC, ABS, & Copper), fixtures, and other plumbing equipment used for water distribution and wastewater disposal in buildings and vessels.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems while adhering to acts and regulations and company standards
• Mark positions for pipe connections and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and pipe fittings
• Measure, cut, bend, and install pipes using hand and power tools
• Join pipes using clamps, screws, bolts, or cement
• Weld pipes/fittings
• Test pipes for leaks
• Read and interpret blueprints to determine plumbing system layouts
• Perform preventative maintenance procedures to minimize downtime and maintenance costs, and to manage efficiencies
• Operating accessory equipment for plumbing

SKILL/CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (minimum to be considered):

1) Minimum 3 years of Plumber experience

• Looking fo rplumbers who have minimum 3 years of experience working as a plumber in residential or commercial settings.

2) Plumber Red Seal Certificate OR Apprentice

• Ideal candidates are red seal plumbers or apprentices in final years of apprenticeship.

3) Must be able to use and own basic hand and power tools

• Candidates must have own tools for work. Can buy missing tools needed gradually.

LOCATION: Hamilton, ON

SHIFT SCHEDULE:

Day Shift: Mon-Fri 7:00am-4:30pm

=Min 45 hours a week plus OT if interested

PAY:

Starting pay is $30-$45 based on experience with opportunity for increase based on performance and development.
