Hydrovac Operator

Job Summary:

As a Hydrovac Operator with Tuc’s Contracting, your responsibilities will include, but not limited to:

  • Shoring installation
  • Utility Locates
  • Trenching
  • Tank Cleaning
  • Debris removal and tank cleanouts
  • Piling holes and pole holes
  • Dewatering
  • Small pipe flushing
  • Sump cleanouts
  • Equipment cleaning (with or without chemical)
  • Hydrotesting

You will actively participate in all safety initiatives, perform pre/post inspections on vehicles, pumps, equipment, tools, etc., and complete billing and time cards.


The shift rotation for this position is 14/7, 10/4 or 7/7. Shift is flexible to accommodate employer/employee needs.


Qualifications:

  • Class 3 Driver’s license
  • Clean 5 Year driver’s abstract/commercial driver’s abstract
  • Minimum 5 years’ hydrovac experience required
  • Proficiency in reading, writing and understanding English
  • First Aid, CSTS, and OSSA, Ground Disturbance, Confined Space Entry, Confined Monitoring, Fall Arrest, required
  • Must be able to access major oilsands sites (no site bans)
