Overview

This position reports directly to the Industrial Maintenance Coordinator and is responsible for the execution of plant repairs, preventative maintenance and general maintenance, of all Rotary Kiln, Bucket elevators, Conveyors, Ball Mill equipment to minimize downtime and improve production.

Responsibilities

• Required to read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Troubleshoot problems on plant equipment and facilitates and determines maintenance requirements. Ability to go to root cause of problems. Perform proper follow up on repairs to implement long term solutions
• Respond to breakdowns on plant equipment, facilities and buildings. Ability to determine the need for temporary solutions or permanent solutions based on time constraints given by production
• Electrical trouble shooting of PLC controlled equipment
• Maintain, repair test and install electrical motors, hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systems
• Use CMMS - computerises maintenance management system

Experience

• A valid Ontario Industrial Mechanic License - 433A Millwright License
• 2 or more years mechanical maintenance experience in Manufacturing.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting and installation background
• Computer proficient
