An opportunity exists in Stantec's Waterloo, ON office for a highly motivated Junior/Intermediate REVIT Designer to join our multidisciplinary team. In this role you will be working within a mechanical engineering team towards the design and execution of projects ranging in size and complexity, with a focus on industrial projects.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Gather information from engineers and/or design elements produced in Revit to develop construction drawings.
  • Set up Revit models and work with engineers to produce construction documents using Autodesk AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Coordinate work with project managers, engineers, and technicians of various design disciplines.
  • Pay close attention to detail while working efficiently.
  • Ensure internal and external quality control procedures are implemented.
  • Become familiar with code requirements.

Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials

  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities and assignments.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with the design team, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Excellent ability to plan and execute working document production on building-related projects.
  • Self-motivated and self-starter with a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to apply for secret level government security clearance is considered an asset.

Education and Experience

A certificate from a recognized building or drafting technology program, a degree in mechanical engineering or significant experience in a relevant field using REVIT.
