A leading Global Network Company is looking for a Junior System's Engineer contractor who will provide installation of network equipment and operations support.
This role will require to be onsite in the office in Kanata and is a long term opportunity with a possibility of converting to full-time.

Responsibilities
Plan and install network installations by using work orders, plans, manuals, and technical specifications provided from Project Managers. Build, configure, and troubleshoot networks in a lab environment. Provide support to the network equipment users. Diagnose and correct network systems issues. Running, pulling, and terminating copper and fiber optic cables (mostly CAT5, CAT6 and Fiber). Mount telecommunications equipment, routers, switches and multiplexors. Document network by labeling cables and recording as built diagrams and specifications.

Qualifications
1. Excellent communication skills, self-driven, organized and proactive.
2. Experience with formal network setup and cabling
3. Experience with networking equipment (routers/switches) installation, basic setup and cabling
4. Strong basic networking such as IP addresses, DHCP, IP gateway, etc
5. Experience with Linux/Unix related infrastructure
6. Strong Computer Skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, MS Office)
