As a Lead Analyst, you will provide solid expertise in your field of activity and influence decisions and directions based on the business objectives of the sector. You will perform complex analyses to provide information for decision making.

Your role

  • Develop accounting expertise and a global view of the Marketing and Personal & Commercial support units business.
  • Ensure the integrity and quality of financial results and management reports
  • Analyse and interpret financial data, explain variances and ensure corrective action
  • Support the business partner and the sector with regard to financial results and data
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with various stakeholders on joint projects
  • Coordinate deliverables for the team (month-end, forecasting process and budget)
  • Work closely with your colleagues to align the results and analysis of the sector
  • Support the Director in various mandates and ad hoc analyses
  • Ensure the development, implementation, follow-up and control of tools and work processes and make recommendations to optimise the quality of financial information

The Financial Accounting Sector - Individuals and Businesses, located at 600 de la Gauchetière in Montreal, is currently seeking the services of a Lead Analyst. The mission of this team is to produce and analyze the sector's financial information and to support the various business lines in accounting for their results. The bank's Finance sector is in the midst of stabilisation following the implementation of the integrated SAP system, which means exciting challenges on various projects!

Required skills

  • Bachelor's degree related to the industry and seven (7) years of relevant experience OR Master's degree related to the industry and five (5) years of relevant experience
  • CPA designation
  • Superior analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Excellent analytical and synthesis skills and good tolerance for ambiguity
  • Ability to interact with various stakeholders Bank
  • Experience in an advisory role to management
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills

Preferred skills

  • Knowledge of the SAP environment (AO, Fiori)
  • Leadership, autonomy, rigour and commitment
  • Very good interpersonal skills, ability to adapt and openness to change
  • Ambassador of the Bank’s cultural values of agility, partnership and empowerment
  • Bilingualism, spoken and written (English and French) for dealing with English-speaking partners
