One of our clients in Bolton is looking for a Woodworking Machine Operator. Candidates must have experience in setting up, programming and operating one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines. Must be able to read and interpret specifications.
Key Responsibilities
· Set up, program and operate one or more computerized or manual woodworking machines
· Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions
· Safely operate a variety of Wood Shop secondary equipment. May include: Laminator and/or Finisher Machines. Following work instructions and job orders
· Perform and follow QC (quality control) inspection of products standards
· Assembly and packaging tasks as needed
· Must use all provided PPE (Personal protective equipment) as required for example, hearing protection, safety glasses and safety toe shoes
· Use of pallet jack or other material handling equipment as required and assigned
· Operate gluing machines to glue pieces of wood together or press and affix wood veneer to wood surfaces
· Operate and tend equipment to glue, press, trim, sand and assemble veneer sheets
· Operate pre-set special purpose woodworking machines to fabricate wood products
Requirements:
- At Least 2 years of experience in woodworking and machine operator
- Ability to read and interpret diagrams, schematics, drawings and specifications
- Forklift Certification would be an asset
- Follow verbal and written instructions of numerical dimensions and tolerances
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Salary: $20.00 per hour
