Job Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Toronto, ON (ONSITE)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Job Description:
· Application development experience in Design, coding, testing and debugging with mainframe skills such as CICS, VSAM, COBOL, DB2, JCL, Zeke, File Aid, Changeman, AbendAid
· Programming, conduct code reviews, and test software as needed, ensuring quality of deliverables
· Must have analytical and coding skills from working on IM
· Good communication and interact with Business
· Execute various forms of testing – unit, system, regression, integration, performance, volume
· Manages all aspects of implementation planning & coordination
· Develops detailed plans and accurate estimates for the design, build, implement and stabilize phases of the project
· Performs database/ disaster recovery planning for multiple systems
· Assists with vendor negotiations
· Facilitates complex group meetings (including business partners) for technical design, decision making, problem solving, implementation and strategic planning
Good to have
· Develop the web tier components using JSP, Servlet, JavaScript, HTML and Ajax.
· Validate text messages that come through MQ's and update DB2 tables base on certain condition.
· Analyze business requirements by meeting with a Monsanto manager, and design the windows user interface.
· Design and develop a Java front-end system that maintain a business rules database connecting to UDB/DB2 on the mainframe.
· Plan, developed/maintain application testing, documentation, and implementing mainframe COBOL applications.
· Develop mainframe application which interacts with front end application in Java for adjudicating claims.
Job Type: Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
