Air Canada has launched its new NDC (New Distribution Capabilities) program offering access to the full range of Air Canada's product and services, exclusive unique content, and a series of new features to elevate our customer experience and transform the shopping experience between our airline, agency partners, and third-party systems.

We are looking for a motivated and passionate manager to lead the implementation of various clients looking to take advantage of our NDC technology and integrate it within their tools stack.

Key responsibilities:

As Manager NDC Partner Implementation, you will be lead the implementation of our Air Canada's New Distribution Capability (NDC) program with clients, third party applications, NDC technical providers and Global Distribution Systems (GDSs). This role requires a deep understanding of the NDC program, as well as excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills with an engaging business knowledge to guide, educate and enable solutions for the sellers.

Project Management and Leadership

  • Lead clients' implementation projects and manage projects from initiation to closure. Act as the customer facing advisor and work in collaboration with the other internal teams to secure the project delivery, within agreed timelines, budget and scope.

  • Develop and execute project plans and deliverables, including risk management, issue management, and change management processes.

  • Manage and communicate project dependencies and critical path items. Prepare regular status reports and communicate progress to stakeholders.

  • Conduct regular status meetings with clients, stakeholders, and project team members, and provide timely updates and recommendations for corrective actions as required.

  • Conduct post-implementation reviews and recommend continuous improvements.

Customer Success Management and process improvement

  • Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) of NDC providing deep level product knowledge and lead the integration and service delivery cycle for our NDC clients.

  • Understand the client requirements and identify any constraints; create strategic integration solutions working with the product and development teams.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, IT, client product team, and internal stakeholders to ensure client requirements are fully understood, communicated, and delivered.

  • Propose and drive solutions to minimise delivery costs, reduce time-to-market, maximize revenues, and improve the quality of service to customer.

  • Manage and prioritize the ongoing pipeline of new NDC clients working in collaboration with the NDC account and sales managers.

  • Define, enhance, and deploy implementation documentation and publication standards of new product implementation procedures and business flows.

  • Work in collaboration with product, development and operations teams to ensure that system integrations are implemented and tested effectively.

  • Train clients on the NDC program and ensure they have the necessary support and resources to implement the NDC program successfully and integrate within their organisation.

  • Coach and lead the NDC program delivery manager to understand their role and responsibilities aligning with the team objectives.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field

  • 5+ years of project management experience, preferably in the airline industry.

  • Knowledge of distribution systems, XML, and web technologies is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
