Seeking a Medical Office Administrator/Optometric Assistant for well established Optometry practice in South Barrie

This is a permanent full time position, no students please.

Duties include: patient scheduling, confirmation calls (approx. 60 patients per day), monthly patient recalls, POS, OHIP billing, manage multiline phone system, voicemail, emails, faxes and referrals. Candidate will also gather patient information for doctor intake and perform pretesting on specialized equipment. Training will be provided.

Candidate Requirements:

-Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English.

-Phone etiquette/multiphone line system.

-Organizational skills/time management.

-Able to work well independently as well as a team member.

-Compassion and empathy with patients.

South Barrie Eye Clinic is an established three doctor practice for over 23 years. We provided full service to our patients, one stop shop. Starting with full eye exams with specialized equipment to shopping for eyewear with an onsite lab to manufacture glasses within the hour. We are known for our knowledge, welcoming team and enjoy serving our repeat patients for over two decades form a large radius.

Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
