We are currently hiring a Member Services Representative, to work as a team member in our inbound/outbound environment. You will be responsible for providing quality customer service to our readers, potential readers, advertisers and internal customers.

Our member services department is open 7 days a week including holidays. You must be flexible to work within the hours of Monday – Friday 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Saturday 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, and Sunday 9:30AM – 7:00 PM. Depending on shift and skill set, you may be required to work either in office or from home.

Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Providing excellent customer service via telephone, email and in person walk-ins from current and potential members;
  • Conducting outbound calls to members or potential members for account renewals, member updates and sales calls;
  • Assisting members with one-call resolution by using all available resources;
  • Verifying and maintaining databas records;
  • Booking classified ads, obituaries, processing payments and daily cash deposits;
  • Providing support for our digital products with first level technical issues on their account or services experienced;
  • Other duties as required.

Minimum qualifications:

  • High speed internet access and space to work from home.
  • Minimum 2 years customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Computer Skills with a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, mainly Excel
  • Ability to learn new software and type at least 35 WPM
  • Ability to multitask large work volumes in a fast pace working environment
  • Detail oriented and time management skills
