About the Job:

Working closely with the Senior Project Manager and Superintendents, the Construction Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing multiple projects from start up to completion. For each project you will be responsible for planning and scheduling, costing, and project closeouts.

Job Duties include but not limited to:

  • Setup projects, including coordination with building departments, government regulatory bodies, engineers, architects and consultants
  • Assist with the evaluation of sub-trade pricing in reference to scope
  • Review all construction documents and ensure projects are built to the contracts, specifications and drawings
  • Administer quality management plan
  • Investigate potential high-risk situations, provide solutions to the best interest of the project
  • Create, manage and maintain job schedules using Smart Sheet
  • General review of all construction methods and materials and how they relate to building performance, job budget and schedule
  • Manage submittals, RFI’s and changes
  • Attend and conduct site meetings with superintendents, subtrades and clients/consultants
  • Manage site supervisors and project coordinators
  • Coordinate with HSE to ensure safety measures are installed and maintained
  • Liaison with clients, subtrades and suppliers for scheduling, coordination and pricing
  • Manage client billings and change order approvals
  • Manage closeout of projects, ensuring all deficiencies, documentation and O&M manuals are completed
  • Perform project reviews and present to internal stakeholders
  • Other tasks as required

Preferred Experience & Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years construction experience
  • Degree or diploma in Civil/Structural Engineering, or education in relevant field
  • Be a member in good standing of ASET, APEGA or other relevant professional association
  • Proficient in drawings and specifications, including CofC road, water and sewer specifications
  • Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills are critical, along with exceptional time management and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all teams and levels in the organization
  • Proficient in various computer applications including Outlook, Excel, Bluebeam and B2W
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Must pass mandatory Drug and Medical Screening
