About the role

  • Develops, modifies, implements, and maintains quality assurance program plans and surveillance systems (software and hardware), and lead a team in the application of those plans and systems
  • Collaborates with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Production, and Supplier Quality Management organizations to ensure that a quality management system is in place and adhered to
  • Interacts with Program Management and Subcontractor Management organizations for related Quality Assurance (QA) activities
  • Designs and analyzes inspection and surveillance processes to conduct QA oversight of the production environment and material management activities
  • Audits Lockheed Martin Canada Inc. (Lockheed Martin) and subcontractor’s Quality Management System for workmanship, deficiencies, effective corrective actions, and validation of compliance to company’s management system and compliance to ISO 9001
  • Generates and reviews audit reports for completeness and conformity to quality management system requirements
  • Ensures that corrective action measures are effective and meet acceptable reliability standards
  • Ensures that program documentation and records are compliant with contractual requirements.

What you bring to the role

  • Appropriate degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 10+ years of professional experience and specialized training commensurate with assignment
  • Strong QA background; skilled in ISO 9001 or AS9100
  • Experience in development and implementation of Quality Assurance initiatives to achieve program and/or company objectives
  • Strong experience with Software QA (working knowledge of International Organization for Standardization (ISO)/International Electro-technical Commission (IEC)/IEEE 90003, ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288, and/or ISO/IEC 9126 (now ISO 25010) is an asset)
  • Experience with Agile Software Development practices
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent teaming skills
  • Strong computer skills, Microsoft Office suite: PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access
  • Six Sigma/Lean Training an asset
  • Program and Risk Management familiarity an asset
  • Ability to delegate and manage priorities
  • Strong problem identification and resolution of non-conformances
  • Manufacturing / Production experience with Canadian military product, systems, specifications, and critical inspection processes is an asset
  • Good communicator with excellent writing and computer skills; must be effective within all organizational levels, both internally and externally
  • Eligibility for North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secret Clearance.
