We are currently seeking a skilled Red Seal Chef Instructor to join our team. As a Red Seal Chef Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching culinary arts classes to students, providing hands-on training, and helping to develop curriculum materials.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and teach culinary arts courses to students in accordance with the Ontario curriculum
- Prepare lesson plans and curriculum materials
- Provide hands-on training and mentorship to students in the kitchen
- Ensure a safe and clean work environment in the kitchen and classrooms
- Assess and evaluate students' progress and provide feedback
- Collaborate with other instructors and staff to enhance the culinary arts program
Requirements:
- Red Seal certification in Culinary Arts
- Post-secondary degree or diploma in Culinary Arts, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Chef
- Experience in teaching culinary arts courses is an asset
- Knowledge of Ontario curriculum and education standards
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
- Passion for teaching and mentoring students
