SALES REPRESENTATIVE / ACCOUNT MANAGER

Pertinent Information: Direct hire position. Full-time, steady day shift. MUST HAVE OWN VEHICLE AND WILLING TO TRAVEL.

Wage: $70,000/year + discretionary bonus + comprehensive benefits + car allowance.

Location: Windsor, ON

Job Description

The Sales / Account Manager is responsible for the sales and marketing activities in a specific market territory and/or product group. This position will promote and create demand for new and existing products to current and new customers.

Responsibilities to include the following, but not limited to:

  • Managing and growing existing accounts while using your outside sales experience to prospect and develop new business.
  • Managing existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth into assigned territory
  • Customer service activities, including following up with customer inquiries, product field support and tracking/recording issue resolution
  • Meeting or exceeding outlined sales goals within your assigned responsibility
  • Networking and keeping in constant contact with designated customer base
  • Demonstrating resourcefulness when faced with challenges that defy easy solution
  • Ability to create and nurture customer relationships based on mutual trust
  • Utilizing CRM to prospect and grow current book of business
  • Educating customers on the ROI of product by providing training and product knowledge
  • Presenting at technical forums promoting the companies products
  • Providing technical expertise to user agencies and customer alike concerning new and existing product technology, specifications, problem solving, pavement preservation and value-added related industry concepts
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Degree/Diploma in Business, Engineering or Marketing preferred
  • Two (2) to three (3) years proven outside sales experience
  • Strong customer relations
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office tools; i.e. Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Proven ability to manage the needs of multiple clients while traveling
  • Knowledgeable in local safety regulations
  • Naturally inquisitive and willing to ask difficult questions to find solutions to underlying facility problems
  • Demonstrated ability to progressively manage and maintain contacts with established customers
  • Flexible when priorities shift
  • Comfortable with public speaking with strong presentation skills
  • Flexible in learning and applying a new sales process to uncover customer objections/concerns and determine appropriate solutions where closing is the result
