YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Community Liaison Coordinator, the Community Liaison Officer is part of the Community Relations Department and is the main community ambassador in its respective community. They will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

  • Actively participate in the organization and representation of AEM in various types of community meetings/events (family day, community events, hamlet meetings, consultation meetings, etc.;
  • Ensure community members have access to different kinds of information regarding AEM operations;
  • Provide AEM with relevant community feedback and/or information such as issues, challenges, complaints that may arise and/or any relevant information related to the community;
  • Provide community insight regarding the AEM Donation Program and initiatives;
  • Ensure community follow up with organization/group that has received AEM Donations;
  • Support Education & Program team and/or actively participate in the:
  • Organization, implementation and delivery of community-based activities and programs;
  • Organization and implementation of education initiatives with community schools program.
  • Support Inuit employment team and/or actively participate in:
  • Advertisement process of job openings with AEM;
  • Online application support for potential employees;
  • Interview process;
  • Pre-employment programs organization and delivery;
  • Recruitment events in the community.
  • Support Human Resource teams in:
  • Providing information and documentation to AEM employees when required;
  • Assisting HR and other AEM departments to contact employees as required;
  • Contact and/or pick-up employees in advance of their shift departure times.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • High School Diploma
  • A minium of 1 to 2 years of experience in a similar role;
  • Comfortable with public speaking;
  • Experience working in a multicultural environment;
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team;
  • Demonstrates autonomy and leadership;
  • Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint;
  • Strong ability to effectively communicate in English (Oral and written).
