Scheduling Clerk Job at Corporation of the County of Renfrew

Reporting to the Administrative Commander, the Scheduling clerk is responsible for the scheduling of Paramedic employees to ensure the coverage of all shifts, in accordance with the collective agreement and operational requirements. This position performs clerical duties to include the preparation and confirmation of schedules for payroll submission, maintaining appropriate records and ensures consistency with Emergency Services policies and deployment plan commitment.

Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education in office administration, or a combination of education and experience.

· Minimum six months experience working in an environment governed by legislation and legislative rules and regulations.

· Good oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills to interact with government agencies, elected officials and community.

· Demonstrated competence in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, payroll/scheduling and electronic mail.

· Ability to administer and distribute reports as instructed.

· Payroll software experience preferred.

· High level of initiative and independence, confidentiality, judgement and ability to work with minimum supervision.

· Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

· Submission of a Criminal Record Check.

· Prior experience in a healthcare setting would be considered an asset;

· Prior experience working in a unionized environment governed by Collective Agreement(s) considered an asset;

· Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 6 months

Salary: $28.48-$32.06 per hour
