We have a Part-Time position available on our lawn cutting crew.

If you enjoy working outside, mowing lawns and making them look nice, and you are an individual who takes pride in the work that you do - we are eager to meet you.

Part-Time position is available from May until September 30.

Duties:

• Mowing and Trimming (weed whipping), fertilizing, and occasional weeding at residential and commercial properties in Medicine Hat

Regular Hours / Days of Work:

• Monday - Friday (P/T days will vary each week)
• 7:00 am – 4:00 pm. Hours may vary slightly depending on the schedule.
• P/T Hours will vary each week.
• Overtime is paid on all hours worked over 8 hours/day.
• Occasional weekends may be required in cases of rain during the week when we need to get caught up.

Term of Employment:

• May - September 30
• Preference will be given to candidates who are able to work for the full duration of the term.
• Not suitable for students who are in school Monday-Friday

Skills Required:

• Training is provided, however past experience operating commercial walk behind lawnmowers, trimmer and leaf blower is an asset.
• A valid class 5 drivers license is required as well as a vehicle to get to and from work each day.
• Applicants must be able to work outside in all summer conditions: this includes dusty/smoky conditions, and periods of extreme heat.
• We strive to maintain each and every property as if it were our own. This means taking the extra minute or two to ensure that each property is freshly manicured, exceeds client expectations and looks "Picture Perfect" when the job is complete.
• Ideal candidates should be genuinely interested in this type of work and be able to follow directions, pay close attention to detail and take pride in the work that they do.
• Starting / Training wage is $16.50 - $18.00 per hour + 4% vacation pay (depending on experience).
• Individuals who possess work experience working for a lawn care company or on a grounds keeping crew and those who learn quickly and excel in their skills and ability to perform the duties of the job will have their wage increased and will be compensated accordingly.
