Sidewalk Snow Shoveler Job at Peel Exterior Maintenance Inc.
Job Duties:
- Removal of snow and ice from sidewalks including concrete areas and paved areas
- Operating a snowblower, sidewalk equipment, snow shovel, and application of salt plus deicer.
- Must be prepared to work in all weather conditions and extreme cold.
- Employee must follow LMN policies and procedures
- Any operator of any vehicle is required to fully fuel vehicle and units at the end of each shift.
- When operating a vehicle or equipment, safety pre trips must be completed at the start of each shift
- At the end of each shift, missing tools, broken equipment/tools, and safety concerns must be logged and reported. Pre-trips must be handed in at the end of each shift
- Must be available 24/7 during winter months. (Nov 15 to April 15)
- Must monitor Salt Bins and quantity remaining in bins when completing sites
- Night patrol and filling salt bins with salt
Job Requirements:
- Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment.
- Frequent use of foot/feet to operate foot pedal/s on equipment and trucks.
- Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 100 lbs.
- Working in extreme temperatures, loud noise, dust, gas and/or fumes.
Job Types: Full-time, Casual, Seasonal
Salary: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
Experience:
- Snow Shoveling: 1 year (preferred)
- Operating Snow Blower: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Ontario G License (preferred)
