DUTIES:

Reporting to the Executive Director, Student Services & Registrar, the incumbent will work closely with the full-time Student Records Officer. The successful incumbent will:

  • Assist in developing an extensive knowledge of a complex student information system (SIS), data entry for courses, fees, student records including micro-credentialling;
  • Process Records of Amendment addressing grade changes, prior learning recognition, program changes or withdrawals;
  • Assign Ontario Education Numbers as needed;
  • Review attendance sheets and liaise with Coordinators regarding the withdrawal status of no-show students;
  • Log international student visa denials and processing associated withdrawals;
  • Initiate refunds for finance;
  • Monitor and analyze data for quality assurance in internal and external reporting and auditing;
  • Prepare queries for reports; and
  • Investigate, and identify errors or anomalies in program synopses, student records or system data reports; analysing, strategizing and consulting with student services, IT staff or faculty as needed to troubleshoot or resolve problems in data or related input or reporting processes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 2-year diploma in Business, Information Systems or related field;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience including data processing;
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, writing, and communication skills;
  • Computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Good judgment and problem-solving skills;
  • Good organizational skills and;

The incumbent may be required to provide a criminal reference check.
