Do you love photography, working with children, and capturing special moments? Then it’s time for you to capture photo with us! We are looking for a seasonal, friendly and enthusiastic Studio Photographer who is available to start this April! This professional will be responsible for:

• Creating dance portraits that will WOW our customers and clients!
• Traveling to assigned photo day locations in their own vehicle (avg. 10-100km from our office located in King City, ON)
• Setting up and operating a mobile photo studio with professional photography equipment at a variety of dance schools around the GTA
• Setting up lighting gear to optimize photo quality reduce editing time
• Capturing high-quality portraits of dancers - photograph, assist and/or direct photo sessions
• Consistently capturing photos that highlight dancers’ personality and skill
• Accurately tracking photo information using Excel
• Taking command of a room full of kids in a friendly manner
• Upholding our company image and using age-appropriate language at all times
• Safeguarding and properly handling all provided equipment

Qualifications:

• Available to work a flexible schedule including weekday evenings and weekends, starting April 2023 until the end of June 2023. A few training days will be required in late March.
• Reliable, insured vehicle, and valid Canadian driver's license required
• Minimum 2 years photography experience required
• Must be being patient, outgoing, customer-focused, confident, reliable, punctual, organized, sociable and team oriented
• Fluent in English - Able to communicate clearly and effectively with dance studio owners, teachers, assistants, and students
• High School diploma or equivalent required
• Happy to work in a fun and fast paced environment with youth aged 3 - 18
• Ability to lift and operate up to 50lbs of photography equipment
• Ability to bend, kneel, squat, twist, and crawl to capture photos
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Comfortable with PC computers and camera tethering software
• Owns own professional DSLR camera and willing to use as backup
• Dance experience, training in a photo studio or as a staff photographer, experience using Adobe and Excel - all assets!

Compensation and Expenses:

• $250/ shoot day
• All expenses paid – gas and parking
