Purpose of the Role:

This role oversees the Mobile Maintenance Auxiliary Equipment division whose principal focus is to maintain equipment, including, but not limited to, Light Vehicles, Medium Duty Vehicles, Welding Team, Tire Contractor, Generator and Pumps. This ensures smooth operation of site support area enabling department to meet their production targets and goals. This position is cross shift to the Mobile Maintenance Production Superintendent and whilst on site will be responsible the day to day business activities of the Production Equipment side but not long term stratic decisions or budgeting.

We are seeking an individual for a Fly In, Fly Out opportunity working on a two weeks in, two weeks out rotation.

Accountabilities:

  • Plan, organize, direct, control and evaluate the maintenance and repair of an establishment's Production equipment, including but not limited to, Light and Medium Duty Vehicles, Welding Team, Tire Contractor, Generator and Pumps.
  • Develop and implement schedules and procedures for safety inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Administer contracts for the provision of supplies and services.
  • Hire and oversee training and supervision of staff in conjunction with the Training department.
  • Responsible for setting and meeting budgeting targets.
  • Meet departmental KPI’s including availability and schedule compliance.
  • Work closely with other entities of Maintenance and the site to support busines and growth.
  • Manage personnel headcount, development, and succession planning within team.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Interprovincial Red Seal Certification as a Heavy Equipment Technician
  • 10 years of experiencing servicing Mining Auxiliary equipment, with at least 5 years in a supervisor capacity
  • Demonstrated planning skills
  • Numerousy and analytical abilities
  • Demonstration interpersonal aptitudes
