We have manufacturing plants in Beamsville and Stevensville. Please note that your primary work location is at 3565 Eagle Street, Fort Erie, ON, L0S 1S0.

We are currently seeking a Swamper to join our team. Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the Swamper is involved in providing assistance to Machine and Equipment Operators with loading and unloading of materials and equipment. This position entails being outdoors working in all types of weather and is physically demanding.

JOB DUTIES:

  • The ability to operate required equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
  • Help guide truck and heavy equipment operators into position and in/out of job sites.
  • Possess good problem-solving/decision-making skills.
  • Assist with preparing equipment and truck for specified job.
  • Assist in loading and unloading trucks of materials (this may require heavy lifting over 60 pounds).
  • Ensuring all Safety protocols are followed.
  • Working in a team environment in a large production plant (Stevensville).
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Swamping experience in a manufacturing setting is an asset. We are willing to train the right candidate.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the position which involves sitting, standing, bending, climbing, and lifting (up to 60 pounds).
  • Good physical condition, as this is a labour-intensive position.
  • Good English communication skills with the ability to give and take direction.
  • Mechanical aptitude.
  • Able to work in various outdoor weather conditions (year-round)
  • Commitment to teamwork, adhering to safety rules and procedures, efficient work ethic, and attention to detail is a requirement.
  • Work environment requires wearing PPE: must have own safety steel toe footwear, safety glasses.

Working Hours are: Monday-Thursday 7:00am-4:30pm and Friday 7:00am-12:00pm
