POSITION: BILINGUAL TECHNICAL SALES SUPPORT REP

Our client develops, manufactures, distributes, and supports proprietary chemical and equipment products for a broad range of industrial and commercial applications in industries such as: manufacturing, food and beverage, paper and pulp, and water treatment.

They build collaborative customer relationships that strive for continuous improvement in management of environmental resources and processes, with an experienced EHS team and technical staff focused on achieving best-in-class safety and sustainable operations.

The position is considered a career “stepping-stone” for the Technical Sales Representative – Projects & Construction role. It is structured to allow for the quick learning of various internal aspects pertaining to the Projects & Construction Department and different facets of the company operations including but not limited to customer service, field support, administration, plant facility, accounting, and procurement.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Screen, evaluate and delegate to the appropriate territory representative requests for quotations (RFQ), project specifications and drawings.
  • Perform preliminary calculations, equipment sizing, and product selection to assist with preparation of project quotations.
  • Prepare shop drawings and technical operating manuals & packages for submission to contractors and engineering consultants.
  • Utilize and become proficient with company computer software and platforms to track sales opportunities, client activities/issues, etc.
  • Obtain information from vendors to generate new BOMs (Bill of Materials) and product codes.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding submissions, orders, invoices, etc. and fulfill requests for product safety documents and technical information.
  • Create and update marketing literature, product specification sheets and shop drawings for new line of chemicals and equipment.
  • Manage translation for all technical and marketing documentation.
  • Attend internal/external technical or sales-oriented training sessions.
  • Coordinate tasks required to complete project start-ups including clientshipments, supplying technical procedures to contractors, communicating with customers, and supporting technical representatives.
  • Assist with networking and marketing development activities such as trade shows, technical conferences, and company presentations or seminars.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A degree in Chemistry, Environmental or Mechanical Engineerring is a strong asset.
  • Bilingual (English, French – written and spoken) is required.
  • 1-plus years of sales, sales support, administrative or customer service experience is preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with customers and within the organization
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to handle various project deadlines or time-sensitive requests.
  • Ability to take initiative and work towards continuous improvement.
  • Self-motivated individual with a willingness to learn technical information
  • Ability to drive to customer sites regulary (company car provided) within Greater Montreal Area and occasionally to towns/cities within the province of Quebec.

Salary: $50,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
