Adecco is currently hiring a temporary Telecommunications Analyst to work full-time hours for our client located in Trenton, ON. In this role, you are responsible for the analysis of user requirements including the identification of administrative, operational, economic, and technical merits of information technology alternative solutions; the development of formal recommendations and the preparation of specifications; together with the supervision of implementation teams which include user representatives, Government Telecommunications, and Informatics Services (GTIS), carrier and supplier representatives

Responsibilities:
  • Analyses user requirements, develops or endorses or reviews the general specifications for telecommunications systems and develops broad system alternatives; identifies the administrative, operational, economic, and technical feasibility of alternative solutions as well as associated policy and organizational change requirements
  • Analyses and evaluates telecommunications alternatives based on make-buy, impact and cost/benefit considerations, and proposes, justifies, plans and provides costs of implementation of the selected alternatives
  • Develops and presents formal recommendations
  • Prepares specifications related to the functional requirements of the client department's application to ensure that the objectives of the users are fully identified
  • Develops information and implementation programs and materials for telecommunications systems and services
  • Monitors the design, implementation, and operations startup of the proposed system in compliance with established goals, objectives and milestones
  • Assists in the development of current, long range and strategic information technology and information management plans
  • Serves as the project leader, providing a project management service and as required, supervises telecommunications analysts assigned to assist in a given project
Requirements:
  • Must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
  • Minimum of 5-10 years' experience for the intermediate analyst role
  • More than 10 years for the senior analyst role
  • Extensive related telecommunications/informatics experience in multi-service, high technology, user-oriented environment with progressively more complex and responsible duties.
  • Experience in analysis of user requirements,
  • Experience in evaluation of voice and data telecommunications services,
  • Experience in conducting detailed cost-benefit analyses of telecommunications alternatives.
  • Experience in developing information and implementation programs and materials for telecommunications systems and services
  • Experience in preparing and presenting formal recommendations.
  • post-secondary educational or experience equivalency
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check
  • Must have a Reliability Clearance certificate.
