Market Rate Adder Incentive of $80.00 per day and retention pay of $25.00 per day (expires on October 31, 2023 - it may or may not be extended) is in effect on top of base hourly rate for all Care Operators Journeyperson positions at Suncor Firebag.

Jardeg is recuriting for a Crane Operator Journeyperson to join the Suncor Firebag project near Fort McMurray, Alberta. This is a temporary position on 14/14 rotation, 12 hours per day. .

Position Summary:

Service and operate booms that are mounted on crawlers or wheeled frames as well as traveling, fixed or climbing type hoisting equipment with a vertical mast or tower and a jib.

Minimum Requirements:

• 
  Must have a Journeyperson ticket
• Must have a Journeyperson level experience
• Must be certified crane operator (65 ton grove), must have forklift license and commercial driver's license (CDL) for bus.
• Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification required.
• Driver’s Abstract .

Responsibilities:

• 
  Operators manipulate a number of pedals and levers to rotate the crane, and raise and lower its boom and one or more load lines
• May drive the crane to the job site, rig the machine up (pin the boom and pendant cables and pull the hoist cable in preparation for operation)
• Set up the machine for the lift (i.e., make it level and stable) using blocking and leveling materials.
