TD is growing their Investment Specialist team and seeking proven sales professionals with financial advice experience to join our dynamic team!

The Investment Specialist position offers a unique opportunity for you to achieve your professional goals while being flexible to meet customers at their preferred times.
  • The Investment Specialist impact is in delivering an extraordinary client experience – by fostering a relationship of advice, trust, and confidence with existing TD clients.
  • The primary goal will be to consolidate assets held outside of TD through key prospecting activities leveraging lead generation, phone outreach and customer referrals
  • Employ excellence in business development practices, with emphasis on pipeline success.
  • Create personalized client investment strategies, leveraging internal tools that will support your investment recommendations, and engage in opening new investing accounts, and initiate transfers of assets from other financial institutions.
  • As a natural relationship builder, you will identify referral opportunities to other TD lines of business, including Retail and Wealth partners.

Job Requirements

  • Mutual funds license (IFIC or CSC equivalent) required
  • A highly motivated individual, who is a self-starter with quality sales skills
  • An independent, self-managed professional who enjoys developing new business in a fast-paced, competitive market
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, networking, and relationship management skills
  • Provide exceptional money-in advice at every customer interaction
  • Prospect, identify and onboard new TD Investment customers by using effective sales techniques, discovery, goals planning tools and resources
  • Deepen investment relationships with TD customers by offering investment advice and consolidating OFI assets
  • Communicate in a clear and understandable manner, keeping pace with the customer, speaking clearly, verifying customer understanding and agreement as appropriate
  • Ability to guide customers through the planning process and provide suitable recommendations to clients with <$250K in investable assets
  • Ensure proper handling of any issues/complaints using the TD Customer Problem Resolution process
  • Demonstrate operational excellence through adherence to all TD compliance functions
