Laboratory Technician Job at Cdn Dog Group Ltd.
We are seeking a Laboratory Technician to work in our allergy testing lab in the East end of Toronto. This is a 3-month contract which may be extended. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, evenings and weekends. All training will be done during he weekday, You will be processing canine allergy samples. Must have strong pipetting experience, ELISA experience is helpful. To be considered candidates should have a minimum of 2 years relevant laboratory experience, post-graduation . This position includes coating allergy plates, preparing the media, pipetting and ELISA testing and analysis. Training will be provided but you must have a solid educational and practical foundation for this position.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring a high level of accuracy in sample preparation and analysis
- Ensuring that instruments and equipment are appropriately maintained
- Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) when performing sample preparation and basic testing procedures.
- Ability to work independently and communicate with laboratory staff.
- Log all samples
- Prepare ELISA testing plates
- Must be extremely well organized.
This position is ideal for a hard-worker who can perform independently.
