Restaurant Floor Manager

At MIRA MIRA DINER we are looking for an experienced Restaurant Floor Manager to join our Front of House team in running daily business operations.

We have two indoor floors (99 seats) and 3 outdoor patios (100 seats). We strive to provide a fun, electric environment for our guests and team members, but enjoy the finesse of fine-dining service elements.

The Floor Manager should have experience in a supervisory role, and be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, create teamwork, and clearly communicate service-based objectives. A strong background in fine-dining and high-volume service is a must.

We are a culture-based work-environment and it is important that the Floor Manager has the skills required to motivate and positively influence our staff members.

Successful candidates require great communication skills, a pleasant friendly attitude, and a strong passion for hospitality and growth.

We are truly seeking a candidate that is willing and wanting to learn the administrative side of Management, however, possesses a strong understanding of service fundamentals.

Responsibilities:

  • Nurturing positive working relationships with staff and exuding a positive working environment.
  • Delegating daily tasks.
  • Addressing any issues in a timely fashion.
  • Supervising staff.
  • Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
  • Setting a good example for staff through operating with a high-level of standard for service-based tasks

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years serving experience in fine-dining and high-volume environments
  • 1-2 years of previous restaurant management experience in a comparable restaurant environment and volume (not required but beneficial)
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Good observation skills.
  • An ability to deliver constructive criticism.
  • Computer literate
  • An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $20.00-$25.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
