Position: Scheduling Coordinator

Location: Kitchener, ON

Our busy and growing home care company is in immediate need of an organized and dedicated Scheduling Coordinator to join our staff. We are looking for candidates with experience in customer service, client relations, and administration. The candidate is someone who loves serving others, can remain compassionate even in the face of challenging people, and is flexible and accommodating. The job would require attention to detail, with the ability to coordinate and respond to changing information.

The coordinator plays an important role in working with the CareKW team. They help build PSW schedules to ensure our clients needs are met. Responsibilities:
  • Collaborates with the Office team and PSW team to understand staffing baseline requirements in order to build, modify and maintain PSWs schedules, review and input shift changes
  • Have an awareness of and be receptive to the needs of those we support with compassion and an understanding to provide the best service possible.
  • Demonstrate a strong capacity to problem solve and work through difficult situations professionally and tactfully
  • Identifies and communicates opportunities to improve operational efficiency
  • Participates in and supports projects as needed
  • Contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff and visitors
  • Will work a rotational weekly schedule created by Operations Team Manager, some weekend and after hours coverage will be required by the candidate
Qualifications:
  • Experience and proficiency using computer software is mandatory
  • Recent comparable experience required in building, and modifying employees' schedules
  • Effective communication, organizational, time management, collaboration and problem solving skills required
  • Excellent attention to detail is required
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment required
  • Good attendance record
