The Village of Southern Victoria is currently seeking a seasonal position for the Outdoor Adventure & Tourism Information Centre Manager. Duties include overseeing and managing the Outdoor Adventure & Tourism Information Centre. This includes, but is not limited to, training and managing summer students, scheduling, tourism projects, customer service, obtaining tourism information and educating visitors, handling rental equipment, marketing, program planning, and other duties deemed necessary by the employer.
This employee will work varying shifts during the spring/summer months (June 12 – September 2, 2023). Shifts will include daytime, evenings, and some weekends.
Minimal Job Requirements: Education: Minimum Grade 12 will be required. However, education or experience in the tourism industry would be considered an asset.
Expectations: The successful candidate should be able to lift 40lbs, have a valid driver’s license, and be willing to complete a criminal background check. Salaries: $17.00-$19.00 per hour.
